Portal of Awakening was created in 2020, together with Nina, a yoga teacher and energy healer, for her beutiful studio in Belgrade.

Here are the inspirations behind the painting
The Hummingbird
During our co-creation process, Nina and I discovered that the hummingbird is one of Nina's spirit animals - vibration of small but powerful being, joyful and colourful flight of the heart!
The Lotus Flower
This is a powerful symbol in buddhism - a flower that rises from the mud yet comes out clean, healthy and so beautiful, reminding us that all the hard situations in life create who we are. No mud, no lotus. Here it is also a symbol of the heart, the petals opening gently one by one, revealing the golden energy inside.
Sacred Geometry
Sacred geometry here creates a mandala, bringing our focus to the centre, the balanced and harmonius state. The 4+1 white circles stand for stability (number 4) and connection with the divine (number 5).
The Colors
Colors on this artwork were selected to match it's surroundings, palette of Nina's healing space, a relaxing and inviting moodboard.
